－ Educational Mission Statement －
The educational mission of the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, Asia University is to provide focused, advanced, and comprehensive programs to our students that prepare themselves to work as speech-language pathologists and audiologists in various settings.
To achieve our mission, we:
1. Build and share knowledge with our students and colleagues in clinical settings and academia.
2. Provide clinical practice that advances the skills guided by the scope of practice and code of ethics for
speech-language pathology and audiology to promote full engagement for our students in diagnosing,
treating, and evaluating people with speech, swallowing, and hearing impairments.
3. Provide clinical practice that advances the skills guided by the scope of practice and code of ethics for
audiology to promote full engagement for our students in diagnosing, treating, and evaluating people
with hearing impairment.
4. Promote self-independence, collaboration, and respect for others for our students.
